Funding cap per application

Each application may cover only one promotional activity. The maximum grant is 50% of the approved cost of that activity, or HK$100,000, whichever is lower. Funding for video or product filming and editing cannot exceed the government grant for the other eligible items in the same application, that is 50% of the approved government grant.

Cumulative funding cap per enterprise

There is no limit on how many times an enterprise may apply, but the cumulative cap is HK$1 million. Activities to build or improve a website or mobile app owned by the applicant are capped at 50% of that cumulative limit.

Eligibility

A non-listed enterprise registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310)

When applying, the enterprise must have real operations in Hong Kong. A shell company, or a firm whose main business is outside Hong Kong, does not qualify.

If an enterprise has been funded before, the cumulative amount cannot exceed the fund’s cap. Enterprises with similar business-registration details, such as nature of business, address, phone number or shareholders and directors, are treated as related. For the cap, they count as one enterprise.

The enterprise is not the organiser, co-organiser or service provider of the promotion it is applying for, and is not a company connected with them.

Application deadline

Applications accepted year-round
