  1. Supports platform R&D projects and seed projects
  2. Platform projects:Applied R&D that is industry-based and has commercial potential
  • Maximum project period: 24 months
  • Industry sponsorship: at least 10% of the project cost
  1. Seed projects:Exploratory and forward-looking projects
  • Maximum grant: HK$2.8 million for a project carried out by an R&D centre, and HK$1.4 million for other applicants.
  • Maximum project period: 18 months
  • Industry sponsorship: not required
